What it is... The Omniversal Groove Machine brings together a diverse group of some of this planet's most accomplished and respected musicians in order to share their sounds with the world in a new way and to create the mechanism through which new and ever-changing musical expressions can be generated. The Machine is a living organism which constantly grows and changes. Its roster of musicians offer instrumentation ranging from the familiar to the obscure, including tabla, accordion, sarod and sitar. Special guests are common. Expect to be surprised and delighted. Definitely expect the unexpected. The Omniversal Groove Machine is a wholly collaborative endeavor under the direction of Lisa Palumbo, with all members united as equals under the Groove. Each musician is free to contribute his or her own material to the current performing configuration. Songs are chosen by a group consensus. The songs on the page linked below are a sample of some of those contributions recorded by the original artist (or the artists affiliated band) and can only hint at the Groove Machine's potential interpretation. Don't worry. It can't help but be good. Click
